When The Papers Get it Wrong - $50 each

Woodblock print. Signed edition of 15 prints.
Ink- Daniel Smith Oil Based Relief Ink, Burnt Umber
Paper- Kitikata Roll, HPR-16 Hiromi Paper International

9 prints available

This print is a retelling of the fairy tale little red riding hood. Most of us are familiar with the story of the woodsman saving the helpless little girl from the big bad wolf. But in this version the media says the opposite and runs with it, instead of the woodsman slaying the wolf it’s the helpless little girl. One could look at the image and see a commentary on the media, or perhaps a more romantic vision where the little girl does indeed fight back and slay the wolf.
It was interesting playing with the both ideas in the same image.
