Work Continues….
Work continues on my fourth large woodblock titled “Best to yeild to night”. This block deals with Greek Mythology, specifically book 7 of Homer’s Iliad. Book 7 concerns the duel between the mighty Greek Ajax and the Trojan prince Hector. Right now I am in the final stretch of drawing which will then be followed by inking and then carving.
I have taken the last of my reference shots and I will be finishing the background elements of the main image. I still have to figure out what some of the characters in the background look like, mostly this means
